Feel Good Friday #18

Every Friday, Doubting Believer brings you things to read, watch and listen to that are sure to make you smile. Because we all could use a little good news.

Once again, good news was hard to come by this week, but no matter what is happening in this world, there is always good news to share.

This is one of my favorite stories to come out of election day. Never underestimate the power of pizza.

File under the  category of people being awesome: California folks buy out donuts from shop so owner can spend time with sick wife.

The first Muslim and Native American women were elected to congress! The more diversity we have in our leadership, the better off we are as a country.

Remember Zach Walls? He was that super-impressive young man (raised by two moms) who gave some impassioned testimony in support of gay marriage in Iowa. He’s now one of the youngest people ever elected to the Iowa Statehouse.

Try not to laugh as you watch Benedict Cumberbatch and Jimmy Fallow try not to laugh.

Find it hard to ask for help? Even Superman needs an assist once in awhile.

Get some rest, have some fun, talk to God, connect with people in person and get renewed this weekend. We all have much work to do, but if we don’t take care of ourselves and tend to our souls, our ability to change the world is definitely diminished.
