Feel Good Friday #31

Every week Doubting Believer brings you things that make you things to read, watch or listen to that are sure to make you smile. Because we all could use a little good news.

This may only be funny to me, as I lived with my family in Germany for two years, but hopefully all can find the humor here.

Fans of Aerosmith (and others) can celebrate the second home for abused girls funded by Steven Tyler’s Janie’s Fund (named for his song Janie’s Got a Gun). This one is in Memphis. The first opened in Atlanta a couple of year’s ago.

If you have somehow missed the story about the 11-year-old crocheting phenom, here it is. He’s adorable.

Here’s a man who really knows how to let his subscribers know how much he appreciates them.

Just in case you thought Oprah was too famous and fancy for regular folks, she shows us she can pass out tequila shots in her pjs with the best of them.

Get some rest, have some fun, talk to God, connect with people in person and get renewed this weekend. We all have much work to do, but if we don’t take care of ourselves and tend to our souls, our ability to change the world is definitely diminished.

Feel Good Fridays has become a spiritual discipline for Rev. Anne Russ, an ordained pastor in the PCUSA.  Doubting Believer is a progressive and inclusive online Christian community. Keep up with all that is happening at Doubting Believer here.
