Feel Good Friday #43
Every Friday Doubting Believer brings you things to read, watch or listen to that are sure to make you smile. Because we all could use a little good news.
Lego fans can celebrate that the Lego experience is available to more people–specifically the visually impaired. Braille bricks are the latest in Legos! Learning through play is the best kind of learning there is, and now kids can build and learn to read at the same time!
I will admit that I am often a little cynical when it comes to good deeds and charitable acts set up to be done in front of a camera, but this one got me. Jay Leno and Jenna Bush Hager surprising a disabled Navy vet with the gift of George HW Bush’s service car was genuinely heartwarming. It promoted awareness of our disabled veterans and clued me in on the Drive for Inclusion initiative.
If you don’t know singer and rapper, Lizzo, you should. You might recognize her from last summer’s Swimsuits for All ads,or you may already love her Juice video–which throws us back to the 80s with its on point visual parodies. Below is a short video about the making of Juice. (Spoiler alert: it was joyful process, indeed.)
This is really cool. DC area restaurants are working to give Muslims more options for pre-sunrise meals during Ramadan. Let’s hope other communities start their own Dine After Dark programs.
John Christ nails it again. It’s like he’s been in all of our cars.
Get some rest, do something fun, connect with people in real life and spend some time with God this weekend. Make renewal a priority so that you are able to be the person God calls you to be. Take care of yourself. The world needs you.
