Feel Good Friday #57
Every week Doubting Believer brings you things to read, watch or listen to that are sure to make you smile. Because we all could use a little good news.
Getting it in just under the wire this week. A respiratory infection and moving details have me a little behind this week, but this is the one spiritual discipline I’ve found that I never want to miss. Here are things that are making me feel good even on a week that’s been largely occupied by sickness and stress.
I am a firm believer in the power of play to help, heal and bring happiness. Have you seen the seesaws on the border wall? The ones where American kids are on one side and those seeking asylum in the US are on the other? It has made my heart SO happy.
One of my favorite movies has come to Netflix this week. I am sucker for the films that demonstrate the power of hospitality to transform those who welcome and those who are welcomed. To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar does it beautifully and with a great sense of humor.
This one is for my Metallica-fan husband. Their music saves–-literally.
Ethiopia sets a new tree-planting record with 350 MILLION trees planted in one day.
Get some rest, do something fun, connect with people in real life and spend some time with God this weekend. Make renewal a priority so that you are able to be the person God calls you to be. Take care of yourself. The world needs you.
