UCLA just received $20 million dollars to study kindness. The Bedari Kindness Institute will study “evolutionary, biological, psychological, economic, cultural and sociological” basis of kindness. Perhaps really trying a little kindness really will change the world.

There was a pretty beautiful moment in NYC this week as thirteen children of firefighters who died at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, and six whose fathers died of 9/11-related illnesses, graduated from the city’s fire department.
