Doubting Believers A to Z Guide for the New Year
Need some guidelines for the year ahead? Here’s an A to Z list of things to remember as we dive into a new decade!
First, a classic ABC song to get you in the right frame of mind.
And now…
Absolve yourself (and others) from guilt and shame.
Believe in people (and let them know it).
Call out racism and hate. Create beauty. Care for the least of these.
Doubt–because a faith that struggles with questions is always stronger than one that never asks any.
Encourage one another (learn how to get really good at it here!)

Go tell it (the Good News) on the mountain
Invest in justice.
Jam out to your favorite music on the reg.
Love. Also Laugh.
Make time for people and things that energize you.
Nurture your faith.

Observe Sabbath
Practice spiritual self-care (similar to above)
Quit saying yes to everything.
Read scripture and other inspiring stuff .

Say what you want to say (or what you mean to say). Go Bareilles or Mayer.
Take time to pray.
Vent! At appropriate times, of course. Don’t hold that stuff in!

Welcome in the lonely, the stranger, the poor, the outcast, etc, etc
Yearn for God.
Zip it. Recognize that nothing is sometimes the right thing to say.
Use this handy ABC list to give a little guidance as you navigate through a new year. Blessings on the year ahead.
