Feel Good Friday #91

With much of the country on stay-at-home order, this Feel Good Friday is going to be a bit different. Sharing some things that will help you feel good as you shelter in place and adjust to this temporary “new normal.”

Neil Myer from Eastminster Presbyterian in Lansing, Michigan is doing a daily “Spin and Sing,” on Facebook, where he spins a wheel and teaches a classic Christian song (usually with motions) to your kids.

Sophie Maness at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Nashville reads the book The Invisible String, a book about how are hearts are connected, even when we can’t be together.

Get your bluegrass on with this Bluegrass Sing-a-long medley with Eric Nance.

And for parents, Rev. Jen Evans really comes through this week on her Parents Take 5 podcast. No tips or tricks, just some much needed words of affirmation.

Have you tried Netflix Party? Check it out. It’s a great way to watch some of your favorite shows and movies with friends, while everyone is sitting on their own respective couches.

Can’t get to the gym? Here are 10 YouTube Channels that offer free workouts.

For Twitter users, actor John Krasinski has called for people to share #somegoodnews. The response has been great! Included in this collection is this welcome home a young girl got as she finished her final chemo treatment.

And a reminder that this time at home is giving the earth a much-needed break. During the lockdown in China, CO2 emissions were down 25%. While we are taking deep breaths in order to stay calm during this crisis, the air we take in is a little bit cleaner.

Get some rest, do something fun, find new ways to connect to people and spend sometime with God this weekend. Make renewal a priority so that you are able to be the person God calls you to be. Take care of yourself. The world needs you.
