FGF #177: News to Make You Smile
Every week Doubting Believer brings you things to read, watch or listen to that are sure to make you smile. Because we all could use a little good news.
Sharing this pic of my daughter who was four months old when I watched the plane hit the second tower on live television on September 11, 2001. I was in seminary outside of Boston at the time. We gathered that afternoon in the middle of the campus, knowing the world had changed forever, and we passed around this chubby, happy baby from person to person. We couldn’t imagine what the future would hold after such a devastating day. This joyful pic is a great reminder that even in times when hope is hard to come by, good things and good times are still ahead.
BVB Leads the Way
Regular followers of Doubting Believer know that my in-laws immigrated from Germany. Borussia Dortmund is the team my husband’s family follows. Was gratified to see this story about the work they and other Bundesliga teams are doing to combat anti-semitism.
