The world says

Do more

Be more

Get more

Make more

But God says

Do justice

Be loving

Get along

Be still

Make a joyful noise

But we insist on chasing more

God forgive us when we feel we can’t get to enough.

Save us from chasing the elusive “more” that we can never quite find.

Be gentle with us when we fail to love people because they have what we think we want.

Rescue us when greed and envy begin to eat us from the inside out.

Help us to realize that our cup runneth over.

Grant us the wisdom to recognize all the enough that we have and that we are.
