Five Reasons I Love This Advent Resource

My friend and colleague, Rev. Kelly Fitzgerald, and I have put together a FREE resource for families to use at home this Advent, and here’s five reasons I’m excited about it.

It’s Not a To-Do List

This is a not a devotion-a-day resource where you have to commit to gathering your family together in the same place at the same time every day while you read and reflect on scripture and have prayer time. If you can pull that off, awesome! I love that. Most families can’t, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find ways to share, learn about and practice your faith at home–especially during the holy time of Advent.

It’s Fun

There are retellings of Bible stories, complete with activity pages. There’s are games you can play, and a calendar full of fun (and meaningful) activities for your family.

It’s Inclusive

Followers of Doubting Believer know that you can count on me (and those I work with) to come from a Reformed theology perspective, use inclusive language AND recognize that not all families look alike.

It’s Accessible

One download. Only 18 pages (that includes the printable resources) make it easy to learn, follow and use.

It reinforces that Faith Life is Daily Life

It’s a great tool to remind us all that our faith live is lived out in real life–not just when we’re at church or Bible study or youth group. Beyond Sunday helps make connections between what we claim to believe and how we live–for families of all shapes and sizes.

Download it today…for FREE. Get ready for a fun, meaningful Advent for you and the people you share your daily life with.
