I Believe in Easter

Friends, Easter is not one day. It’s an entire season. Eastertide runs from Easter Sunday through Pentecost, so we have plenty of time to celebrate, access and revel in the new life that is ours through the risen Christ.

I believe in Easter.

I believe in the Resurrection and the Life.

I believe that God loved us enough to become one of us, to walk among us, to die for us and to conquer death so that we might never be afraid.

I believe that Easter is a time to hang our winter sorrows out to dry, to shed our cocoons and to soar in living color.

I believe that Easter reminds us that the good times are coming around again.

I believe that Easter means that which we are sure is impossible might just be possible after all.

I believe that Jesus lives. Today and every day. In our world. In our lives and in our hearts.

And I believe that our world and our lives and our hearts are changed because He lives.

I believe in Easter. Alleluia! Amen.
